2012 SPRING LEAGUE
FORMAT
- Each division will have 6 or 8 teams.
- Dates are Feb 26-May 20
- Each team plays 3 League tournaments (games count in the standings) and 3 League Double-Headers for a total of 18 League Games.
- As a service, teams may also play Double-Headers on "off" weekends with other league teams, but these games WILL NOT count in the league standings.
- NCTB schedules the games, administers the league and schedules umpires. Teams pay the umpires at the field for Double- Header games.
- There will be a Championship Weekend on May 19-20 weekend. Exact format to be based on number of teams in each division.

HOW IT WORKS
- There are 13 weekends. 3 will be reserved for League Tournaments; the last will be the Championship Series; Easter and Mother’s Day are OFF weekends.
- NCTB will schedule the league in advance so teams can plan their spring!
- NCTB will schedule the games & umpires, act as league commissioner, handle disputes, keep the standings, provide awards and determine the playoff format.
- Teams pay the umpires at home plate and are responsible for scheduling a home field. (We need 60-70% of teams to have a home field for this to work!)
- If the 2 teams wish, we can play a triple-header instead; we can also play on Saturday instead of Sunday. It’s easy!
COST/STRUCTURE
- The league fee is $350 and is due by December 31. We will hold a late sign-up period in January, but the cost will go up to $400.
- The three tournaments will each cost $500, and will be played at premium sites. The dates will be set by February 1st. The fees will be due by February 15th.
- Teams must be registered with USSSA Baseball for the 2012 Season.
Many teams have already gotten back to us expressing interest. We are confident that this is again going to be a huge hit!
